I haven't seen Cabin Pressure or Justified, and got bored with Once, so. I'll just comment on "WWW". Jim's goodness (and his marvelous athleticism, Jesus!)impressed me too. I have a somewhat dif. take on them, as I have no problem seeing them both as gay or bi. Artie has this sort of sweetness that I've seen in a lot of my male gay friends, so I have no problem imagining he's got a past with other guys. (And not because he's an actor. I think the oft-mentioned idea in fanfic that all actors were somehow bi was just an odd prejudice back then, rather than a reality. Though I have no problem believing that that belief might've been prevalent back then.) But I do also like Jeremy Pike. : ) Like you said, he's intelligent and to me, more appealing than the other temp. partners they give Jim while Artie's gone. That said, Jeremy is so much LESS appealing to me than Artie, that he's only okay as a sort of temp. partner for him. They're the only pairing on that show that really appeals to me. No one else has the chemistry those two do, or the visible affection. Lastly, I majorly love Dr. Loveless. You're right, he could avoid trouble by simply avoiding Jim. Except. He's incapable of doing that, because of his major obsession with him. Which I think frustrates the hell out of him, btw. IMHO, I think his obsession is actually sexual, at least in large part, though I don't know if Loveless consciously admits that to himself. ;) I think he kind of wants to BE Jim, but also to have sex with him. Odd, but that's Loveless. I do like his monstrous rage against the world for being born a dwarf. It's oddly real to me, and at times, oddly touching. I think Artie and Jim feel that way too.
