You know how it is, one thing leads to another and you haven't updated in almost a year.  I'm still mad at LJ for not letting people set up their F-list feed on another website like DW unless they have a professional account, but c'est la vie.  I miss this place.  And I've forgotten my DW password but not this one, so there's that as well.

Hey! Glad to hear from you. :D

Things have been going well. Real life became kind of a hassle late last year/early this year, but things have calmed down since then. Fandom-wise, I have to catch up on certain things but I am majorly obsessed with one particular fandom (Critical Role) for a little over a year now. You can just go through my LJ to kind of get the jist of things that's been happening with me.

Anyway, how have you been? Anything interesting been happening?

I'm a little on the busy side right now, but before that I didn't have much going on. I think I mainly drifted away from LJ because my big fandom- Kingsman- had a huge presence on tumblr and almost nothing here. But I'm pretty over it now and into other fandoms that I've already met some people here on LJ through, so I should be back back as long as I can get back in the habit of posting again.

Life is good with work and studies taking up most of my time. I try to balance it with walking/hiking, reading for fun, photograpy, tv, being social and writing to give myself proper breaks.

Hello! Communication through tumblr is definitely on the tricky side.

I'm about the same. I've been doing some part time bookkeeping that's keeping me busy at the moment, but I still have some time for fandom, and the one I've fallen into recently seems like it has a good presence on LJ, so hopefully you'll be seeing more of me here :)

I'm still about equally active on both LJ and DW, have a tumblr but don't really make use of it, post fanworks to AO3, and having a big year as far as fancons (just returned from Escapade in LA, later this month going to RevelCon in Houston, next month Bitchin' Party near Seattle, Con*Strict near Las Vegas in July, and VividCon in Chicago in August).

I'm still ticking over, still interested in Primeval, and Musketeers, but the later seems pretty dead now on LJ, which is a shame. And I've got back into Tolkien fandom stuff, which has been nice.

The Musketeers fandom seems like it petered out in most places, which is a shame. I wasn't wild about the third season, but I do definitely still love and miss it. Tolkien seems like a good bet, that's one of those fandoms that never really goes away :)

I'm mostly into The Exorcist right now, with a side order of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. The former in particular has, like, murdered me with feelings.

I have been a bit interetsing in checking this out, but I find the subject matter scary and when I watch films with such themes I don't sleep :D :D :D

I wasn't keen on the third series either, especially the ending.

Jonathan Strange was good. Is there much of a fandom for it?

Yeah, I never particularly enjoy the "everyone gets paired off and go their separate ways" type of ending. I like to imagine them all still at the garrison together.

I'm only just putting feelers out, so I'm not sure, but I'm certainly writing fics for it!

I wouldn't say it was much scarier than Supernatural, personally, but I do have a pretty high tolerance for these things. You might feel differently. It's very character-driven though, and there's usually only maybe one or two particularly creepy moments in a given episode.

It's absolutely worth giving it a try if you feel brave though! It's so good. Like. So good.
