I take it back.

I mean, there are ship battles and sword fights and explosions and so forth (and I'm feeling a Freudian undercurrent in this list) but for the most part I feel like this show can be simplified as follows: there's this guy, Horatio, who's really awesome- and he knows a bunch of other guys who all just want to prove that they love him best.  I mean, the hiatus between The Retribution and Loyalty even reads like a little break while all the guys admit that yes, they're never gonna trump Archie- now, how long of a mourning period should Horatio need?

ZOMG yes! I blame Robert Lindsay for it mostly. The looks Admiral Pellew gives Horatio- I mean, a guy looks at you like that and you either hop in bed with him or change your name and move to another continent. There is no middle ground.

And then Paul McGann throws his hat into the ring and I need a cold compress or something.
