I love Peggy too- I just feel like the show itself... lacks something. I have trouble articulating even to myself what it is. Maybe the expectations I had starting out are to blame? Like, I really thought it would be a show with very much a similar energy and characterization of Peggy as Captain America- and it really wasn't. While the treatment of sexism in the show has its merits, it also makes the show a lot less fun to watch.

You're right that most of the 'you must watch this show' campaigns are on tumblr, and it's just sort of odd because basically everyone those posts are likely to reach are either watching the show anyway or have decided not to because they find it problematic for reasons they feel strongly about. Whichever it is, no one really benefits from the guilt trip.
