I went to see Kong: Skull Island.  I thought it was really good.  It's one of a relatively small number of reboot/reimaginings I've seen since the craze started that seemed like it actually had something new and interesting to say.  Even though it was set in the 70's it felt very timely, and it did a lot of things right that King Kong movies normally do wrong.

Also Tom Hiddleston was gorgeous.  I definitely recommend it.

Ohh, might have to think about seeing it, then! Besides the Hiddleston-Pretty, a GOOD KK remake is rather tempting!

You totally should if you get the chance!

woot! I do want to see it, though I'll probably wait until its on Netflix (If I can get out and see Beauty and the Beast I'll be happy haha).

Ug al the reboot stuff is really annoying. SO bland. But the King Kong one is different somehow

See, I don't mind a remake/reboot if it feels timely and you can tell that they had a vision and all that- it's just that most reboots seem like they just got made because someone decided they needed to right then. But this movie felt like the good kind.
