I mean, there are ship battles and sword fights and explosions and so forth (and I'm feeling a Freudian undercurrent in this list) but for the most part I feel like this show can be simplified as follows: there's this guy, Horatio, who's really awesome- and he knows a bunch of other guys who all just want to prove that they love him best. I mean, the hiatus between The Retribution and Loyalty even reads like a little break while all the guys admit that yes, they're never gonna trump Archie- now, how long of a mourning period should Horatio need?
