Excerpt: Eggsy thought that if in the story the good fairy told the princess-who-wasn't-always-a-princess that she could have the fine house and the steady income from the awesome job, but she couldn’t have him because he got himself shot in fucking Kentucky, no one would like it very much.

See, Eggsy knew it was stupid. He didn’t even understand it most of the time, just why he had walked out of that police station, took one look at Harry- twice his age, all perfectly put together and posh- and thought yes please.

Other times, Eggsy remembered seeing Harry plow through Dean’s boys like one of his most secret fantasies made flesh. He remembered hearing Harry’s voice come out of nowhere like the voice of God and save him from Dean. He remembered feeling Harry's heat and inhaling his expensive cologne as Harry settled at his side and said he had potential and he- for the first time in a long time- believed it. Those times, Eggsy thought of course you’ve got a crush on him, bruv.

I’m not sure whether or not the Canonical Character Death tag is still applicable, but this is a sequel so it’s canonical to the series. Now, I call this a series, but I decided not to create one here because I’m not planning any other installments (though I may change my mind about that in the future). Since I remember some people not being too into the sex scene last time, fair warning: I open one in media res in this story. Excerpt: “I know you don’t want to start talking like this,” Harry said. “But we have to think practically. I’m slowing you down.” The snow was thick and Eggsy would have been having trouble walking through it even without Harry draped over his shoulders. And at his age- and Harry so hated thoughts that began with ‘at his age’, but again practicality had to win out- Harry just couldn’t handle the cold or the exertion as well as he once did, and that was without the twisted ankle and cracked ribs.

I haven’t seen the movie, but it’s an excuse for my inability to come up with any other title for this story, since the more famous song is pretty unrelated. Finally, there’s a bit in here where Harry and Eggsy play five card draw as I was taught to play it. I don’t know if that’s the most realistic choice, but there you go. Not Brit-picked.

It also plays a little bit fast and loose with Star Wars canon itself; it's inspired by the metric fuckton (technical term) of Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon fanfic I read back in the day, which I feel like is a genre in and of itself with its own rules and tropes. Though he had anticipated exactly this reception, Eggsy barely managed to keep his face from falling.
