I'm caught up with Britain on The Musketeers because the BBC keeps having hiatuses and so far BBCA hasn't- who knows if that will last.
I was all caught up on The Blacklist until today, and I should watch the new episode tommorrow. I missed Forever and Agent Carter last week because for whatever reason I could not get reception on that station for anything. I watched both this week and went back and watched the episode of Forever that I missed. I haven't been able to get up the energy for Agent Carter, though. I just don't love it, and the kind of militant "watch this show or it will be your fault it failed" attitude I've seen over the internet about it is making it even harder to watch, frankly. I don't even really have much to say about it.
The Blacklist
Great episode, although as ever I'm dreaming of more concrete answers. I hope Red and Lizzie make up soon, this show is never as fun when they aren't on good terms. Aram and Samar were so cute in this last episode!
Forever
I thought both new episodes were great. I like the capacity Burn Gorman's character showed up in during the first one. It would be fun for him to be around often as a semi-helpful stalker figure. That said, I think Henry was awfully forgiving in light of what he apparently did to that one guy. What? He tried to sell Nazi art so he deserved to be tortured? Odd.
I loved the most recent one too. The ending legitimately made me sob with happiness, which is possibly a first.
The Musketeers
So, I haven't disliked this season as much as some people have, though I do think it's been a little bizarre. I mean, can anyone think of a series that had a major tonal change and then got more popular? Because I really can't. Now, maybe Hodges had a grittier vision of this show when he started out, but the show that was originally in his mind and the show he got his fanbase from are different. He can't think changing the actual product he sold us on will be to his benefit.
That said, there's been some good stuff so far (especially on the Athos/d'Artagnan front). The part of the last episode where Athos helped Emilie through withdrawl was fantastic.
I really think Rochefort has gotten sufficiently on Milady's bad side to justify her teaming up with the musketeers just to get rid of him- and I am so here for that.
I also watched Death Comes to Pemberley recently. Could it have been much more like fanfic? I mean, I knew it was. I knew it was a mystery P.D. James wrote with characters from Pride and Prejudice- but I don't mean the general premise. I mean all the angst and the unnecessary romantic misunderstandings (which I assure you I ate up with a spoon). Fanfic, I tell you.
Has anyone been watching Sleepy Hollow? How's it doing?
