June Fandom Meme Question(s) 9-10

What is the smallest fandom that you're in?  

Hahahahaha. 

Sorry.  I'm just in a lot of small fandoms.  Callan and Thorne are both small fandoms I've written for recently where my fics have still gotten a fair amount of attention, so they don't feel that small.  I wrote a Mr. Lucky fic where my story was the first in the fandom on AO3, and as of right now it still is, so that might be the smallest.  

What is the largest fandom that you're in?

I've written for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Hobbit, Sherlock, and James Bond and those are all really big fandoms, but I don't feel like I was "in" those fandoms the way I was in the Kingsman fandom, so I'll go with Kingsman.  I also just wrote a Good Omens fic, and it looks like that fandom is working on being pretty big.

Inspired by your first reply, I posted the first fic for a fandom today on AO3 (Carnacki the ghost-finder).

Yeah, Good Omens is everywhere. I just reserved an audiobook version from the library and they said the wait will be about 6 months!

Shout-out to Callan, the fandom so obscure, half its canon is missing from the archives.

I prefer small fandoms with a lively and supportive community, because I feel more connected to other fans. In large fandoms, I'm usually too intimidated to post anything because I think it can never measure up to the BNFs and other skilled writers/artists.

It's definitely easier to make connections in smaller fandoms! And yeah, I enjoy writing in smaller fandoms too, because you don't have to worry about comparing yourself to others or making sure you're writing something "new" in the same way.
