If I ever decide to write again, I will give Scrivener a closer look.
For more than a decade, I was in an old fandom with many defunct and disappeared website, with more and more disappearing every year. Thank the gods for the Wayback Machine. We were luckier than most. Though there were many individual websites--it was the nineties--we also had a central archive--and the people who created it, have kept it up and running. They stopped updating it in 2012 but still, that's a lot of fic. We have a fandom librarian, as she calls herself, who saved many of the specialty archives, and moved them to her own server.
