Ah, rec lists; love to find 'em, hate to make 'em. I have a ton of saved fics that I love and a very difficult time picking favorites, so I'll just rec some recent greats.

Black Adam
come to the water by thraced. Carter Hall/Kent Nelson. I love all this writer's Black Adam fics, but this one is a particular favorite. A Carter brings Kent back to life fic with some next-level use of Egyptian mythology.
thinkin' i won't be lonely, by and by by susiecarter. Carter Hall/Kent Nelson. Another writer I love pretty unfailingly (lots of great Black Adam fics, and amazing works in other fandoms too). You really can't go wrong, but this one is especially close to my heart. An AU where Kent didn't go on the Black Adam mission, and has to save Carter from the results.
Good Omens
Factory Settings by Anonymous. Aziraphale/Crowley. Crowley goes back to heaven with Aziraphale, but once he's an angel again he isn't Crowley anymore. This is just so so great.
of truth, of light, of good by siderclara. Aziraphale/Crowley. Obviously this fandom is producing lots of great post-S2 'stopping the Second Coming' fic and this one is really good. Excellent takes on all the characters, and -- though it feels weird saying this -- my favorite version of Jesus for sure.
House M.D.
hail mary by ictus. Gregory House/James Wilson. Incredible end of the series fix-it. Flawless characterization and really compelling science.
Shadow and Bone
I wanna see you in the light of the morning by renaegeorge. The Darkling/Alina Starkov. Incomplete and maybe abandoned, but so funny I have to recommend it. Modern AU in which Alina gets pregnant from a one-night-stand and Aleksander is being so, so normal about it.
Something True by Pookaseraph. The Darkling/Alina Starkov. 'More jaded older Alina realizes Aleksander had a point and travels back in time' is my favorite genre for this ship, and this fic is just an incredible journey.
The Tale of the Sun Heretic by Silberias. The Darkling/Alina Starkov. What's maybe even better than 'more jaded older Alina realizes Aleksander had a point'? 'More jaded directly post-S2 Alina realizes Aleksander had a point.' I love it.
Ted Lasso
i'm bad at love (but you can't blame me for trying) by narcissablaxk. Ted Lasso/Rebecca Welton. Take Early-S1 Rebecca and add NBC Ted.
it comes for the bees, it comes for the trees by howlikeagod. Trent Crimm/Ted Lasso. A What We Do In the Shadows fusion, but you needn't have seen it, I haven't. It's so, so funny.
The Witcher
With a Conquering Air by inexplicifics. Geralt of Rivia/Jaskier. Less a new favorite then a constant reread. The accidental warlord Geralt fic that launched a thousand other fics. If you haven't read it, you really must.
