How I feel about this character: I really love her. She's such an interesting, complex, kick-ass lady.
My het ship: Helen/John
My fem/slash ship: Charlotte/Helen
Any OTP? I really love Helen/John, though I don't know if it's quite an OTP, given how much I also love James/John, but they aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.
My non-romantic ship for this character: I loved her dynamic with Will, but I 100% didn't want them to ever get together, so there's that. Her relationship with her daughter was also fascinating and really well written.
Any unpopular opinions? Not that I know of, but I was never really active in the fandom.
My favorite plot-line for this character: I love the flashbacks she's had to the Victorian era and the background for The Five. I found all those characters fascinating, and in particular the part Helen played. The Five were sort of a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen type deal, and you would think that with Helen not being anyone famous she would seem like a weak link, but she absolutely didn't. She was awesome all on her own.
Something I wish would happen/had happened to this character: More Sanctuary? I didn't love the final season of the show as much as the earlier ones, but even so I would have liked more.
A crossover ship or interaction I would love to see for this character: I said how much I love the idea of Helen and H.G. Wells from Warehouse 13 interacting for H.G., and it's still true. I also think Helen and Julia Ogden from The Murdoch Mysteries would really have gotten on. (What? I loves me some fiesty Victorian ladies).
A head canon fact: It's been a while since I read Sanctuary fanfiction, but when I did most of them were set in the Victorian era period, and a lot of them were James/John fics wherein James finally figures out that John is the Ripper. Unlike in all those fics, It's always been a very firm head-canon for me that Helen is the one who figured it out first, not James, and then she confronted John about it, as we see in her earlier flashbacks. I've always though it was strongly implied by the series that, as smart as James was, he was really blind when it came to John, but I don't think Helen was. She may have loved him, but she would have figured it out.
