How I feel about this character: OMG I love her so much!
My het ship: Belle/Rumplestiltskin
My fem/slash ship: I don't really have one.  I can see where the Red Beauty (Belle/Ruby) people are coming from, but at the same time, I can't.  It's partly because I love Rumbelle so much, but it's mainly because in that Ruby-centric episode ("Child of the Moon" I think it was) Belle was so great with Ruby, but then when Belle needed support, nothing.
Any OTP? Rumbelle.
My non-romantic ship for this character: I'd enjoy Belle getting a strong relationship with anyone in a non-romantic capacity, but there isn't a lot going on, so you know what?  I'm going Jefferson.  Belle, Rumple, and Jefferson are my triumvirate of love, my babies.  Aurora/Mulan can come play too.
Any unpopular opinions? I don't know how unpopular it is, because it seems to me that a lot of people who come to the party for Rumbelle don't watch the show with rose-colored glasses, but I'm often frustrated with OUAT.  I think the writers have too many plates spinning, too many characters and too many ideas they want to put into play, and they end up not doing justice to a lot of the characters, and few have it worse than Belle does in that regard.
My favorite plot-line for this character: Rumbelle
Something I wish would happen/had happened to this character: A non-Rumbelle plot-line that was solid, well explored, and lengthy.  I'm a shipper with this show and everything, but I would love for Belle to have chance to be the awesome woman I know she is on her own for a while.  The writers keep giving themselves the perfect opportunities to do just that, and then all that time gets used up by other characters.  Too many plates.
A crossover ship or interaction I would love to see for this character: I love the idea of Belle in Doctor Who.  There's my Time Lady!Belle notion, but she'd also make an awesome companion.
A head canon fact: Dark Castle Jefferson interaction.  I tell you, it is so.

I agree about Ruby. It's endlessly frustrating to love a character as sweet and selfless as Belle, and see how much inequity there is in how she treats other people versus how they treat her. Even the writers--someone with Belle's history with Regina should have been allowed an emotional reaction to being handcuffed in the library, but instead we are left to assume she's always a-ok with all the truly horrible things that happen to her.

It's so true that we should have had more of a reaction to her being handcuffed in the library (and also, I don't know, maybe a scene where she got out? *pokes writers*).
