I'm fabulous, you guys
Jun. 19th, 2014 10:48 pmYou know how fabulous I am? I just saw S3 of Sherlock. Just yesterday. For the first time. I only have a couple of the things to say that are spoiler-y and if you want to see it and you still haven't you're even more fabulous than I am, so-
I'm less stoked after seeing it than I have been after past seasons. There are way more loose ends to be tied up than usual, and frankly, when you wait a zillion years for Netflix to send you something, three episodes aren't really very satisfying, even if they're great. These three were entertaining, but... meh.
Despite being a pretty die hard Holmes/Watson shipper in pretty much any variation on the Sherlock Holmes canon, I mainly only came away wanting Greg/Mycroft fic. Literally all I got from the goldfish conversation was Greg/Mycroft and I don't even know why. Also, I really liked Mary. Really a lot. She has this reformed badass, you're wonderful and I suck thing going on with John that I've always had a soft spot for, but that I rarely see with a woman towards a man rather than the other way around. So I like John/Mary here.
That said, I feel like Mary/Molly and John/Sherlock could have potential. All the times they were saying John ended up with an ex-assassin because that's what he likes (i.e. the same thing that made him want to follow Sherlock around crime scenes made him fall in love with her), they also did something similar with Molly. I'm just saying, everyone could be happy. And gay.

Date: 2014-06-20 10:15 am (UTC)You’re not the only one who thought of Mycroft/Greg with the goldfish conversation, but then again this is a paring that, for whatever reason, has really grabbed hold of me. I would love seeing them interact on the show.
I liked Mary right away and thought her story arc were wonderful and it’s too bad it will be a good while before we get to learn what happens next!
I have no trouble seeing Sherlock/John at all – and S3 certainly didn’t make me ship them any less, even with Mary and marriage there were plenty of Sherlock/John moments around too.
"I'm just saying, everyone could be happy. And gay." I'm all for that :)
