So, it looks like I'm not going to be able to catch Sleepy Hollow as it airs on Monday nights (Boo) so I'll probably be an episode behind forever and ever, but they did re-air the premiere tonight, as I caught that.


I missed Irving.  I hope we get him back soon, and that things even out to something resembling normal (Sleepy Hollow normal, anyway).  I'll keep watching regardless, I just enjoy shows with a relatively even baseline so when things deteriorate for a finale or something it actually means something.  To me, there's something exhausting about shows where one crisis leads directly into another and the characters never get to stop running.

I loved Jenny as always, and the bit where Abbie and Crane hugged did things to me.  Wow.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to what's next.

I wonder, though, if we're ever going to meet a founding father that Crane thought was a cool dude.  I mean, there's Washington I guess, but that's sort of different.  He already though Jefferson was annoying, and now Franklin too.  


While watching Sleepy Hollow, I saw a promo for Gracepoint.  WTF?  Unless mine eyes decieve me, it's exactly Broadchurch. Exactly.  Same plot, same images, same dialogue for God's sake.  But okay, Americans remake British series all the time.  Here's the thing that blew my mind: David Tennent, playing the exact same character he played on Broadchurch (new name, but with the same dialogue and the exact same appearance, it's the same guy, whatever you call him) with an American accent.

I don't even know, you guys.

Yeah, Gracepoint it the 'American' Broadchurch. :-/ They were lucky I guess that DT signed on.

How you enjoy Sleepy Hollow when you get to it.

I guess they're lucky about DT (I didn't recognize any of the American actors), but I think it must be weird for him.

I missed Irving as well!! Hopefully next episode he'll be back. Jenny is wonderful and I so hope she'll get more screentime this season.

Gracepoint it just baffeling...I mean doing a remake of a non-english show/film is one thing, but this I simply don't understand.

You're right; it is silly to remake the show when Americans can just as easily watch the U.K. version. I think American TV is just low on ideas right now.

Also, for some reason the long, drawn out, one murder per-season thing is really in right now. I don't like them, so I hope the fad ends soon.

I heard Gracepoint was Braodchurch down to a tee...how disappointing. UGH.

As for SH...OMG, SO GOOD. MISSED IT OMG!!

Yeah I'm a little worried them Gracepoint will be a huge embarrassing flop. The UK version was just AMAZING, everything about it worked SO beautifully, but mostly because it was a whodunnit and the whole nation was mesmerized. Repeating the same storyline is a dubious proposition when the answer to the big question is seconds away on Google. And much as I ADORE DT, his American accent was nasally and grating in that lawyer pilot that didn't get picked up, so I'm hoping it's different now?

I gotta say, I won't pity them if it does flop. I'm certainly not watching the exact same show I watched before except American.

From the promo, DT's accent sounds a bit better, but it's still less than great.
