The Musketeers Icons

potentiality_26Okay, so- I’ll never be what you’d call a good icon maker, but I set out to make myself a The Musketeers icon from this one scene in "Commodities", and I got a little overexcited with d’Artagnan’s face, and playing with colors, and I made ten icons out of five screenshots. For reasons, I thought I'd share.
Since these were just d’Artagnan, I may do an Athos version at some point, though I’ll admit that I am less enamored of how the light hits his cheekbones. And. Um. Stuff.
It occurs that to me that I could do many variations upon this theme. Athos and Aramis not about to kiss but getting that across less than spectacularly could be next, followed by Aramis and d’Artagnan, likewise not about to kiss. I guess Porthos just isn’t as up in everyone’s business as the other three, but I could swear I remember him and Athos getting pretty close, I just can’t remember the episode. And if Porthos doesn’t get in Aramis’ face at some point in S2 I will be very surprised.
I consider these the products of a learning experience, but anyone who wants to snag one should feel free.

Date: 2014-11-07 10:48 pm (UTC)Personally, I spent the whole show going, "You guys and your faces..." and definitely wanted to icon it. Porthos does have some great moments, maybe especially for humorous/text based icons, at which I would fail most spectacularly. I love his smile so much.
