Some thoughts

potentiality_26So I'm already rewatching The Musketeers in preparation for the new season.
And by a couple I mean like two.
1) So, I've heard some talk about how sad it is that in later episodes we were deprived of an actual scene where everyone gets on the same page re: Milady, especially the bit where Athos admits to his friends that he never decided that any of this was important enough to share with them until he absolutely had to. But what struck me watching "Commodities" the second time is that I bet it was probably an even worse moment when someone had to tell Aramis and Porthos that if d'Artagnan hadn't been a needy little puppy with a crush and gone back for Athos, Athos would have died. I mean, that'd be a tough realization.
I am, accordingly, writing an OT3 fic on the subject. I'd say I need a hobby, but this pretty much is my hobby. I just need a better one.
2) It cracks me up in "The Good Soldier" when Aramis asks d'Artagnan not to tell the others about Marsac and it reads as right on the tail of Athos asking d'Artagnan not to tell the others about his wife. I half expect d'Artagnan to just lose it someday and be like, "I don't even know with you guys anymore. Are you the one whose secret ex tried to kill the duke of Savoy, or the one whose secret ex burned his house down with him in it? It's too much to keep straight!" It's kind of a shame Porthos never did the same thing, really give d'Arty a headache.
This ridiculous show. My God. I can't believe there will be more in less than a month.
