Watched Agent Carter
Jan. 6th, 2015 11:21 pmI may do a more intelligent reaction post a little later, but right now I just need to say that I love her and Jarvis and everything, but. BUT-
Movies and TV shows always do this thing where there's a strong female protagonist in a story set in the past, and it's all woman in a man's world and there's this whole self-congratulatory tone to it like "Look how hard it was in them sexist times. They didn't understand what a woman is capable of." And it's bizarre because yes, things are better now. But I wouldn't call them sexist times completely gone, either.
Just something that bugged me.
