First Question

Definitely Fraser/Kowalski. I even think about writing one semi-regularly, but I never quite do. I wrote a little bit of a crossover with The Dresden Files once, with Fraser/RayK, but that's so far back in my folders I don't remember where it was going anymore. So yeah, always planned to, haven't yet.
As to why, the easy answer is that I like it best? I tend to see Fraser + Vecchio as more of a friendship. And when I first watched the show, OT3s made no sense to me, if I was aware of them at all (I don't think I was). Ah, how long ago that seems to me now! Anyway, I'm kind of dipping my toe into Fraser/Kowalski/Vecchio, but I still like Fraser with RayK best in my heart of hearts. I read so much great fanfiction for it, you know? DS was also one of the first fandoms that I got into where I had a slash and not het OTP. There's so much nostalgia tied up in it for me.
There's also the fact that I got into the show late (2006 or 2007, maybe? It was long off the air, at any rate), so I checked out the fandom a little before I was finished with it, and I'll never forget being halfway through S2 and reading some writer or other saying that they were ashamed of the DS slash they wrote before S3. I get that some people don't feel that way, and actually favor Fraser with Vecchio, but I remember totally getting what that writer was coming from the moment Ray Kowalski was introduced. There's such a different tone to his relationship with Fraser, and to the later seasons in general. Anyway, I guess my point is that I was maybe directed a little by that, A part of me was looking for things to be different- slashier- and they were. But also Fraser and RayK are just so adorable together.
