potentiality_26Thought I'd do a post about what I've watched recently.
I'm sad this show is over but it was a really good season with a really good ending. I am amazed and overjoyed that everyone I cared about got out alive. I have never happy-sobbed over an ending quite like that final scene with Boyd and Raylan when I realized that they were both going to be okay.
Loretta's storyline was amazing. I would watch a million seasons of a show about her building her empire.
In general I really love this show. It's got a great cast of characters who like each other, and it isn't too bogged down in being gritty. Very refreshing, given the other choices out there.
Anyone else ship Phryne/Jack really hard? Normally I'm not into male lead/female lead will-they-or-won't-they storylines, but something about this dynamic really does it for me. Has anyone else had that experience watching the show?
I was assuming this was the end of the show but apparantly not? I'll decide whether to keep going with it later, because I thought this was a really solid finish.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I have so many feelings about Bennet Drake. His arc was amazing in this season. And it was really nice to see him and Rose get a happy ending after there were several moments that any other show would probably have used to split them up and have more angst. It made me so happy.
I guess we should be getting new seasons of stuff pretty soon. I'm looking forward to more of The Blacklist, but that's pretty much all I'm still keeping up with. Is there anything new that looks good? No trailers have caught my eye so far.

Date: 2015-09-04 12:12 am (UTC)Yeah- I think part of what I like so much about their dynamic is that I can really feel the UST but I'm happy to watch it simmer for a while, which isn't true of a lot of shows.
