I'm feeling Harry/Merlin with these, so

7- What annoys them the most about their partner? Would they change it if they could?

Merlin certainly wishes Harry was less impulsive. Sometimes he wishes he could change that about him because it would keep Harry safer, but then he remembers that they aren't in a safe profession, and he wonders if Harry would have chosen it if he wasn't so impulsive, so he lets it be.

19- What do they fight about? What are their arguments like? How do they make up?

I bet they fight about petty stuff. Little snippy arguments the origin of which is quickly forgotten, the sulking less so. They probably tend to either start talking again like it never happened (usually Merlin), or make some really sweeping flowers-and-chocolate type gesture which the other teases them about shamelessly (usually Harry).

G. Glad You Gave This Book A Chance

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, maybe? I read it for a class when I was in school and we got to pick one of three books to read over the break and Catch 22 was the one I picked. Not a book I would probably have chosen to read, but really amazing nevertheless.

H. Hidden Gem Book

I have this collection called Three Victorian Detective Novels. It's old and obscure and I found it on my parents' shelf one day when I was visiting, and neither of them even knew where it came from. Anyway, one of the stories is this mystery called "The Unknown Weapon" written by Andrew Forrester in the 1860s, and besides being a neat little mystery it's about a female police detective and it's... really really fascinating.

T. Three Of Your All-Time Favorite Books

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens, All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot.

Ooh thanks!

LOL Harry and Merlin would totally have petty bickering and sulking <3 <3

And I'm sure Harry's impulsiveness annoys Merlin to NO END.

"The Unknown Weapon" sounds amazing! Will try to find.

I hope you manage to track it down some time! I sometimes wonder if the book didn't come to my parents from an alternate universe or something, because it's really cool and nobody ever seems to know it.

I ship a lot of things in The Exorcist, but I'm assuming you'd like a canon ship so I'm going with Marcus/Peter. Though I thought about how I would answer for the popular ship between the two leads (Marcus/Tomas), which I also adore, and quite frankly there wasn't a question canon hadn't already given me the answer to, because this show really is a gift. Anyway:

1- How do they fall asleep? Wake up? Any daily rituals?

Marcus is obviously used to falling asleep wherever and not knowing when he'll be able to sleep again, and having been a solider I imagine Peter is the same way. Marcus is absolutely a cuddler. And they probably both wake up from nightmares- Marcus regularly, Peter occasionally. And it's on nights like that that Peter is most reminded of how in any other relationship he would probably be the one with the issues. Marcus always plays his music in the mornings, and Peter would learn to like it if he didn't already, but he totally does.

8- What do they like best about their partner?

Marcus likes how steady Peter is. His job is to see people through the worst days of their lives, and it's refreshing to be around someone on such an even keel. Peter likes how much Marcus cares about people. He knew from early on that not much good ever happened in Marcus' life, and he can't help but respect how Marcus never let it stop him from trying to help.

25- How much time do they spend together? Do they share their feelings, or hold things in?

Probably only a little at first. Peter takes it slow with Marcus because he can tell Marcus is used to being alone even if he doesn't always like it- but it gets easier with time. Marcus pretty much only has two settings: sharing too much and not sharing at all, and though it takes time he gets better at just talking.

35- Do they bring out the best in each other, or the worst? Do they have a fatal flaw?

Definitely the best, but it's still a rocky path. Marcus knows this is his shot at building a life with someone, but he spent such a long time believing that loving and being loved is the fatal flaw that he's not sure he how to make it work. Peter is willing to be sure enough for both of them. Hope got him through once when he was at his lowest, and he likes to think things will work out for the best this time too.

This took a while because apparently I wrote a novel. Can you tell I have a lot of feelings about this show?

Q. Quote From A Book That Inspires You/Gives You Feels

Well, this quote from Les Miserables got me good when I reblogged it the other day.

S. Series You Started and Need to Finish

The Inda series by Sherwood Smith. I've been tracking it down in used bookstores piece by piece (Book 2 first, obviously, since that's like the law of finding a series in a used bookstore), but I don't currently have the last book in the series.

I. Important Moments of Your Reading Life

Les Miserables is my favorite book. I loved the musical as a little kid and you can kind of track my progression as a reader with it. I read a simplified for kids version of it at about seven, then the abridged version, then the full novel, and I've often reread it in times of crisis since then.

C. Currently Reading

Personal by Lee Child. My neighbor had it in a pile of books to give to the library and I decided to borrow it first.

As you can probably see, I'm an eclectic reader!
