questionoftheday asks: What is something everyone is "supposed" to love or enjoy, but you just don't? (question submitted by author_by_night)

My answer: Well, I've never understood the appeal of reality TV, and while I wouldn't say that "everyone is supposed to" love it, it's certainly a phenomenon that is so big because people are partaking of it, and I've never gotten why. 

There are also some very popular movies that seem like they should be my thing but that I actually dislike, among them Guardians of the Galaxy and Moulin Rouge.  Both were movies I wanted to like, and obviously I wish the people who do much joy of them, but... I really didn't.  It's an interesting experience, to watch something knowing you should like it and you just... don't.

Yes to not liking reality TV. And I lump things like baking shows and DIY shows in with that. I just have no interest in the things they're doing.

I also didn't like Moulin Rouge. I have a hard time caring what happens to Nicole Kidman. Or the dude. I haven't seen the other one.

See, I like cooking and baking shows because I cook and bake, but if it's not something I actually do then I don't have any interest in some how-to video.

I loathe reality TV. I'll just stick with regular old 'reality' which can get entertaining enough on its own. :D

I really enjoyed Guardians but didn't like Moulin Rouge at all.

The ones that keeps happening to me are the MCU films. Everyone assumes I must have seen them all even if I'm not in the fandom but I haven't, just a couple of them.

Yeah, early on it was relatively easy to keep up with the MCU (and to want to), but now there are multiple movies a year and I at least only occasionally feel interested in seeing one.
