Try something new.

So the post says we can use the same answer for this as Challenge #11 (create a fanwork). To that end, I've posted my Raffles fic on AO3 a day ahead of schedule. Not something I've never done before, obviously, but every time I struggle with titles and summaries like it's the first time.

I've also been inspired by a few conversations I've had through this challenge to seek out some Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves fic. We'll see what I find!

I hear you re the titles and summaries, especially summaries. How to unspoilerize one? How to tempt readers? Meh. It's great to hear a new Raffles fic shines! Are he and Bulldog Drummond palsy-walsy? *ponders*

Yeah, sometimes I know exactly what the title or summary of a fic should be and it's like a gift from the gods. The rest of the time I end up with a draft up for ages just sort of poking it.

I immediately did a search for D&D movie fic--there is some at AO3--and I am going to have to rewatch the movie to understand any of it. I don't even recognize the characters' names. Oh well.

Returning here since I've finally had time to read some D&D: HAT fics and I found a really sweetly slow-burnish one called "Winning Prizes for Rotten Judgment", in case you haven't read that one yet 😊
