How I feel about this character: From the very first time I saw him, he caught my eye and it wasn't very long before he was the main reason I stuck with OUAT- and then Belle came along and I was hooked.
My het ship: Rumbelle, all the way!
My fem/slash ship: This isn't really a show for slash- it's part of the reason I occasionally pondered giving it up for greener pastures- but I guess Rumple/Jefferson would work. I liked their dynamic a lot (the one time we saw it). That would be Mad Gold, right? This fandom has the best ship names.
Any OTP? I really love Rumbelle, you guys.
My non-romantic ship for this character: This one could be Jefferson? Their first scene together in "The Doctor" is definitely my favorite non-Rumbelle scene. But his relationship with his son is of course also really fascinating. Also, though I definitely don't ship them, I tend to squee whenever Rumple and Emma are on screen together.
Any unpopular opinions? Meh. I was unenthused by Neal turning out to be Baelfire. I don't actively dislike it, or him, I just don't love how tightly knit the writers decided all the characters' families needed to be. Also, twists that basically everyone called beforehand aren't really twists.
My favorite plot-line for this character: Belle; the whole Beauty and the Beast thing generally, really.
Something I wish would happen/had happened to this character: Happily ever after? Nice things period? I'm a simple girl.
A crossover ship or interaction I would love to see for this character: Picking up from my Nealfire ennui, I'd like to mention that from the moment we found out that Baelfire was sent to thie real world, I've loved the idea of crossovers with some other series where one of the characters from that series is Baelfire. Imagine the interaction between Rumple and the others with whatever cast you might like when he finally manages to go looking for his son. I'll probably finally finish one of my fics to that effect someday, brought to you by the canon divergence tag.
A head canon fact: I have very little in the way of head canon for Rumple, mainly because of certain confusing timelines that make it really hard to tell what is happening when. That said, I guess it's a head canon that I firmly believe Belle and Jefferson met in the Dark Castle before the curse. How else would he know that she was the best way to sic Rumple on Regina?

I agree about Emma too, she and Gold have an awesome repartee...I could have jumped on board that ship had Belle not come along and blown everything else out of the water. I go all melty when Rumple is even slightly tender with reformed!Regina too. Really, I just ship Robert Carlyle's characters with everyone, he just exuuuuuuuudes chemistry. That's why I had a LOL at the writers having him say "It's okay, I have that effect on women." BWHWHHAAAHHHAAAHAHAHAHA so true!
