Also from
a_phoenixdragon, Doctor Who
Favorite characters: My favorite Doctors are Eleven and Eight, but I love Ten, Nine and Five too; Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Sarah Jane Smith, Jack Harkness (I've had problems with him since Torchwood, but when he was first introduced in "The Empty Child" I loved him like you wouldn't believe), Martha Jones, Sally Sparrow, Donna Noble, River Song, Amy Pond, Rory Williams, Canton Delaware III
OTP(s): Doctor/Master, Eleven/River, Amy/Rory, Jenny/Vastra
Funniest character: Simm!Master was pretty hilarious, in a creepy way. I think the Doctor is funny too, of course.
Prettiest character: Amy, probably, although Clara is pretty damn pretty. Also, Martha's sister Tish was gorgeous.
Most badass character: I really love Canton Delaware III; he was pretty badass (and also he just wanted to get married). But the thing I love about Doctor Who is that you don't have to be traditionally tough to be badass- a shop girl is as likely to save the world as a secret agent. All the companions are badass.
Most annoying character: I wasn't favorably impressed by Queen Elizabeth in "The Day of the Doctor." Queen Elizabeth was an awesome lady, and I think they could have handled her better.
My favorite thing that has happened so far: Hard to say. I like the larger ideas behind the series more than any specific event, and I just love the idea of Doctor Who. I love the spirit behind it, and the way the Doctor brings out the hero in everyone.
What I would most like to see happen next: I'd like a Doctor that wasn't a white man someday. There's no way to say it that doesn't sound critical and I actually don't feel that way- I love so many of the actors who have played the part already, it would just be nice to see something new. I heard once that Chiwetel Ejiofor had been talked about to play the Doctor, and he would have been fantastic. Also, Jaime Murray would be fantastic. I'm just saying.

Date: 2014-04-12 03:13 pm (UTC)I feel your pain on Queen Elizabeth though, HUGE missed opportunity, that should have been epic.
And HECK YES. I think Capaldi will be great, but I was SOOOO disappointed that it was another skinny white man.
