Agents of SHIELD wasn't bad, I thought.
Still, though- Holy misuse of Lucy Lawless Batman, if she's gone.  I'm amused by Ward in his little room making eyes at Skye, but I'm unsure if any possible redemption arc for him will be handled well.  The FitzSimmons twist at the end was my favorite part.

Also, since I saw a few commercials for it I want to ask: is anybody on my f-list watching Forever?  I truly love Ioan Gruffud, and visually it looks appealing, but I've got to say that if I watch one more show about a white dude who's been alive for a couple hundred years but never been anything but 100% straight- I mean how could he be anything else?  Let's be honest with ourselves, kids, what else is there?  Immortal people are one thing, but no one is going to buy into a bisexual man- I will legitimately lose my mind.

All right, apparantly I feel more strongly about that than I thought I did before I started writing.  Long story short, unless someone tells me that show is amazing, I'm not going to court insanity.

The OUAT promo I saw left me rather cold- pardon the pun.  They're really going Frozen, aren't they?  Meh.

As for my other shows, I didn't catch Sleepy Hollow as it aired, and Hulu is going to make me wait a week for it, which is less than awesome.  I haven't seen The Blacklist yet, but I should soon.

Haven't seen SHIELD yet, but plan to soon!!

Arrrghhh. And I don't know crap about Frozen. Hopefully this works to my advantage. Course, they're trying to do the SHIELD-thing and stay in line with a movie, but they're Doing It Wrong. UGH. I want ONCE back, dammit. Not the latest tropey-trope-of tropes!! Can we have back the feel of S1-2?!?!?!

Sleepy Hollow is awesomeness (so far, halfway through it!) And Blacklist...let's just say I'm still madly in love with Reddington. Gods, that man is AMAZING, lol!!

To me, what's upsetting about the Frozen thing is that it's so Disney-movie. I've always known that they were doing Disney versions of these fairy tale characters- and it's been obvious since Mulan was introduced that they didn't care about there being any logic to it- but it didn't used to be so blatant. And now they're doing Frozen so completely that she looks exactly like a human version of the girl in the movie and it's positively annoying. I like the fairy tale aspect of the show, and Frozen had jack shit to do with the Snow Queen, so I'm not thrilled.

I want the feel of S1 back so much it hurts me.

Yeah, that's kind of what dismays me. This show is so unique, it has such marvelous and fantastic potential (the Peter Pan twist was something I loved, though I know a lot of people loathed it). Bringing in Frozen...and so...blatantly is just headdesk worthy. Mulan was given uniqueness. Okay, she is very obviously DISNEY, but they did with her character what they did with the others - added her in, threw in a few logic twists and made her...more 3D, I guess is the word I'm aiming for. This is just...

I was one of the few disappointed by the Rumbelle marriage. It just seemed off to me. And now they're adding this shite in? I don't know whether to be exasperated or sad.

I agree about Mulan. I had a sort of "really?" reaction when they introduced her, but she ended up being a good addition. This is just capitalizing on the popularity of Frozen without serving the story. OUAT is complicated enough without the writers just adding more all the time, you know? We're in it for the world they already built, not the next shiny thing that goes by.

I wasn't thrilled by the wedding either. As a shipper, I liked that they got married, but I wanted it to happen without a) the focus on everyone but my babies and b) this dark cloud over them. I mean, can't Rumbelle be a happy thing for two seconds?

I think that's my problem. They just leaped all over Frozen - and yes, we've already got a rich canvas going...this extra (and pointless) is too much. Arrrrghhh.

I LOVE tha they were married. Or that they WOULD be. During a happier time. And not in the middle of an episode that really had nothing to do with them. Kinda stole their moment and I was...kinda pissed about that. *HANDS*

Yeah, definitely stole their moment. Really quite sad.

I quit watching the show, but it's really hilariously bad at how much they're milking the entire thing. Obviously it's Disney, and the show doesn't make any sense anymore anyway with how much they're adding, but I feel like it's just a marketing ploy to gain ratings since Frozen became the hugest thing for the company in a long time, especially since they say half the season is going to basically be that storyline.

I'm also with you re: the lacking of the fairytale versions or altercations of the stories themselves. That's the one thing I remember loving about S1, that even though we knew of the story they added their own twist, from the character designs to their own backstories. Here, they're just blatantly copying the movie design (and horribly too, those costumes are atrocious, like you just stepped into a theme park kind of atrocious as opposed to the unique styling of their other characters).

Why not go back to stories of the other characters you introduced initially but completely forgot about? Like Mulan and Aurora? Or why not just leave Storybrooke entirely and go into FTL permanently?

You're so right about the look of it; watching the promo, I felt like Emma & co. were in Disneyland or something. In S1, Belle and Cinderella looked enough like the movie characters to call them to mind, but they weren't identical. I would take Elsa for a caricature if I didn't know they were deadly serious about this nonsense.

The writers are adding way to much to a mythology that's already only half fleshed out, especially in the case of characters like Mulan and Aurora, who sort of just disappeared for no reason.

OUAT definitely needs to make a change, but I'm not really holding out hope.
