Do any (or, I don't know, maybe most) of you have a tumblr?

I'm thinking about setting one up, but I'd kind of like an actual person to hold my hand and tell me what the fuck I'm doing rather than me just jumping in and flailing around.

I do,  and I like it for all the pretty :D I don't make graphics or post anything of my own,  so I can't really help you beyound how to reblog things you want on your own tumblr.  I just follow a bunch of people who posts or reblogs things I'm interested in (mostly different fandoms). I have yet to master communication over there.  I'm storiesthatstayed if you want to check it out.

Happy to answer any questions, but you mostly create an account, follow a bunch of people and start blogging (or reblogging). It's a lot less organised than lj, though - I miss half of what's going on because it's impossible to keep up. Oh, and you can 'track tags' to see what's happening on a particular topic or just stick to reading your dash.

I'm chamilet over there. I used to go on there every day and read backwards until I found where I'd stopped with the people I was following. Then I realized that hours and hours had passed in a blink. I don't recommend doing that. You can very much get sucked in with all teh pretteh. Now, mostly, I go on there when I want to seek out specific things and search through tags. Or do a Google search with site:tumblr.com at the end. It's really good for gifs!

I post some of my graphic work and I'm working on posting my fics to Tumblr. It's not really great in terms of feedback, but it is a new set of readers.

I totally see where you're coming from. I one up and I've been doing exactly that, scrolling back to my last post and reading through. I'm not following too many people, so right now it takes maybe twenty minutes? But I can see where it could take hours and hours.

I can see how it wouldn't be great for feedback- it's really not that kind of platform.
