I rarely know exactly what I am going to write when I sit down to work, not in great detail anyway. More of an idea of a scene and then I build brick on brick from that.

I am with you on number 8! These days it is still sadly more of a struggle for me, but I so want to get back to the state of truly needing to :)

I know a lot of people write without knowing exactly what it's going to be in the beginning. I'm unusual in that regard.
