Title: Healing
Fandom: Kingsman
Pairing/Characters: Eggsy Unwin/Harry Hart
Summary: Eggsy has a system for when he gets injured in the field. Today it's gone a little bit... awry.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Short (4,006 words)
Disclaimer: None of these characters belong to me.
Notes/Warnings: References to past abuse.  I'm sure this plot has been done before, but hopefully I put an interesting spin on it. Written as an H/C bingo cross-square extra for "wild card" (hiding an injury or illness) and "touch-starved".  Not Brit-picked.
Excerpt: Eggsy was a spy; it was his job to get in and get out without starting anything with anyone, and unlike Harry he was actually pretty good at that. It was rare that Eggsy got into a real fight in the field, and rarer still that he ended up seriously hurt- but it did happen. The first few times it happened, he’d told his mother that he’d been in a minor car crash, then a mugging, and then- as he started scraping the bottom of the excuse barrel- he had caught himself actually thinking about telling her that he’d run into a door or tripped down the stairs.

That was when he realized he had a problem.

Title: Out of the Cold
Fandom: Kingsman
Pairing/Characters: Eggsy Unwin/Harry Hart, Merlin
Summary: A mission gone wrong.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Short (2,744 words)
Disclaimer: None of these characters belong to me.
Notes/Warnings: Yep, I wrote trudging through snow angst in the middle of summer. The title is from "Keep Me Warm" by The Little Estate feat. Erin Bowman, which I found by googling word combinations- but it's actually a very nice song to listen to while looking at gingerbread recipes and pining for winter like I've been doing. This fills my H/C bingo "near death experiences" square.  Not Brit-picked.
Excerpt: “I know you don’t want to start talking like this,” Harry said. “But we have to think practically. I’m slowing you down.” The snow was thick and Eggsy would have been having trouble walking through it even without Harry draped over his shoulders. And at his age- and Harry so hated thoughts that began with ‘at his age’, but again practicality had to win out- Harry just couldn’t handle the cold or the exertion as well as he once did, and that was without the twisted ankle and cracked ribs.

Title: Feels Like Home
Fandom: Kingsman
Pairing/Characters: Eggsy Unwin/Harry Hart
Summary: Harry learns to like holding Eggsy- perhaps too much.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Medium (6,328 words)
Disclaimer: None of these characters belong to me.
Notes/Warnings: This fills the "hugs" square for my H/C bingo. This was meant to be a 5 + 1 but I'm not really sure what it is now.  Thanks to klaudos for the beta. Not Brit-picked.
Excerpt: Harry had seen Merlin’s footage from when the dormitory flooded- he knew that Eggsy was all lean muscle, so he was surprised by how soft Eggsy went in his arms. He’s so young, Harry thought, an unexpected surge of protectiveness going through him. He tightened his grip on Eggsy without meaning to. Despite Eggsy’s immediate protest when Harry had offered him a way out, Harry wondered, briefly, if he might not have been a poor choice for Lancelot after all.

There was nothing for it, of course. Harry hadn’t lied when he told Eggsy that he saw great potential in him, and Eggsy would succeed or he wouldn’t. All Harry could do now was wait and see.

Title: Nightscapes
Fandom: The Avengers
Pairing/Characters: Steve Rogers + Thor
Summary: Steve has trouble sleeping in the tower. He isn't the only one.
Rating: G
Length: Very short (565 words)
Disclaimer: None of these characters belong to me.
Notes/Warnings: Written as an [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo extra for insomnia and culture shock.
Excerpt: Everyone said he was integrating well, and for the most part Steve believed it- but sometimes he looked out the window and sketched what a part of him was still convinced was a set-piece from a science fiction film and he wasn’t sure he was integrating that well at all.

potentiality_26: (doctor who)
Title: Go On Forever
Fandom: Doctor Who and Torchwood
Pairing/Characters: Ianto Jones/Jack Harkness, Ianto Jones/Martha Jones, Tish Jones, Tenth Doctor, the Master, Gwen Cooper
Summary: Jack's thoughts on the end of the world.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Short (1,078 words)
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Notes/Warnings: Written for my hc_bingo square apocalypse (my card is here).  This is set around the Year That Never Was, so warnings for a) temporary character death and the end of the world and so on and b) me not having seen these episodes in a long time.  There could be inconsistancies.
Excerpt: Jack had tried, in the beginning, to talk about his team objectively, putting no more emphasis on Ianto than any of the others- but something had eventually slipped through. Before he knew it, he’d told Tish about all the good times, and when those were exhausted he’d told her about the bad ones. He’d told her about the things both of them had done wrong, and about the things he bitterly regretted not doing.

Tish said, “When this is over, ask him out on a date.”

Jack didn’t say, “This won’t ever be over.” That was one of the things they never said.

Title: Just a Cold
Fandom: Foyle's War
Pairing/Characters: Christopher Foyle/Sam Stewart
Summary: Sam gets sick.
Rating: G
Length: Very Short (564 words)
Disclaimer: None of these characters belong to me.
Notes/Warnings: Written for my hc_bingo square minor illness (my card is here).  I'd set it around S5 or 6.
Excerpt: “Worried about me?” She eyed him through half-open eyes, somehow sly. “'S just a cold.”

“Yes,” he said, ultimately to both. It certainly didn’t help that she looked so pale and weak. It brought to mind that time when she’d been truly ill- dying, even- and he hadn’t been sure he would be able to get the cure for her in time.

Title: Rolling Stone
Fandom: Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis
Pairing/Characters: Sam Carter/Vala Mal Doran
Summary: Sam on her way to Atlantis.
Rating: PG
Length: Very Short (912 words)
Disclaimer: These wonderful characters do not belong to me.
Notes/Warnings: Written for my hc_bingo square moving (my card is here).  This is set during the SGA episode where Sam is transferred to Atlantis, but it's been a while since I've seen it, so I apologize for any possible continuity problems. The title comes from "A Place Called Home" by Kim Richey.
Excerpt: “Won’t you miss all this?” Vala asked.

“I’d say it’s not another planet, but- you know- it is,” Sam reminded her. “The one thing that’ll stay pretty much the same is ‘all this.’”

potentiality_26: (longmire)
Title: Endings and Beginnings
Fandom: Longmire
Pairing/Characters: Henry Standing Bear/Vic Moretti/Walt Longmire, mentions of Ed Gorski
Summary: Vic's housewarming- such as it is.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Short (2,306 words)
Disclaimer: These lovely characters are not mine.  I just... come along occasionally and try to sort out their angst.
Notes/Warnings: Written for my hc_bingo square gaslighting (my card is here), so warnings for mentions of off-screen (and long past) gaslighting.  This fic is ultimately me trying to work through how unsatisfactorily I thought the Ed Gorski plotline was resolved (as far as Vic's characterization is concerned), but it's set in some nebulous post-S3 future where things have calmed down, and Vic's divorce is finalized.  It's entirely TV canon but it was somewhat inspired by book canon- mainly the part in Hell is Empty when Vic has moved into her own house and Walt is supposed to have dinner there with her and Henry but doesn't make it because he's Walt, and also Walt's general book canon tendency to invite Henry along on his dates.
Excerpt: She’d gone about it badly- the whole moving to a new house thing. Between the stuff Sean had taken with him when he transferred to another damn country, and the stuff she had never wanted to see again after he did, and the stuff she didn’t feel like unpacking now that it was here, the place was basically unfurnished.

Fic: Awake

potentiality_26: (sherlock)
Title: Awake
Fandom: Sherlock
Pairing/Characters: Greg Lestrade/Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Mary Morstan
Summary: Greg wakes up in the hospital.
Rating: PG
Length: Short (3,012 words)
Disclaimer: None of these characters belong to me.
Notes/Warnings: Written for my [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo square blood loss (my card is here), so warnings for mentions of blood loss.  Being that I know very little about the subject, I apologize for any inaccuracies- I was just kind of doing my own thing when I wrote this. Also, this isn't Brit-picked. Finally, I decided to go for a positive Mary depiction. Please don’t shoot me for it.
Excerpt: “Here to kill me?” Greg croaked at Sherlock. It was unlikely, with John present, but Greg had had a recurring dream of Sherlock hovering over him like this- except with an enormous knife in his hand- ever since he’d first met the detective. Most of the time, he understood this nightmare to be a subconscious manifestation of his conviction that Sherlock Holmes would one day be the death of him- but on his most paranoid days he caught himself thinking it might in fact be a premonition of his murder.

Sherlock rolled his eyes. “Hardly. Not after all the trouble John went through to save you. Try not to scare him like that again.”

Title: Chill
Fandom: The Wild Wild West
Pairing/Characters: Artemus Gordon/James West
Summary: Artie warms Jim up.
Rating: G
Length: Very Short (359 words)
Disclaimer: The Wild Wild West belongs to CBS and a lot of people who aren't me.
Notes/Warnings: This is the closest I've gotten to a drabble yet, if that's worth mentioning.
Excerpt: “Honestly, Jim,” he growled. “Are you constitutionally incapable of thinking things through?”

Title: Sleeping Patterns
Fandom: The Wild Wild West
Pairing/Characters: Artemus Gordon/James West, Miguelito Loveless
Summary: There's something wrong with Jim. Can Artie figure out what before things get even worse?
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long (17,442 words)
Disclaimer: The Wild Wild West belongs to CBS and a lot of people who aren't me.
Notes/Warnings: This includes the old ‘character thinks he’s dreaming’ trope, which in my opinion comes with a measure of dub-con, but it’s only kissing. If anyone has a suggestion for how I should tag/warn for that or if I need to, let me know.
Excerpt: Like many men who had been soldiers for at least half as long as they’d been alive, Jim thought of asking for help as weakness.
