What fandom that got a series finale was the LEAST appropriate/least satisfying.  Bonus: How would you have fixed it?

Okay, so, there are a lot of bad finales out there (and bad sequels, and bad last books) and between Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones there's also been a lot written about what makes an ending bad.  So I feel like I should have a more elevated answer than the one I'm going to give.  But I looked back over every finale I've ever hated, and the one I found myself still most angry about was Warehouse 13

So.  Warehouse 13.

Also, shout-out to Kingsman: The Golden Circle.  Not the finale of the franchise, but the finale for me.

Your OTP:

I don't really have an OTP.  The pairing I've read the most fic for is undoubtedly Charles/Erik (X-Men) because the supply is just so amazing.  The pairing I've written the most fic for Artie/Jim (The Wild Wild West).  The pairing that gives me the most concentrated feels in the actual canon is Kit/Will (The Promethean Age).  But I love Belle/Rumplestiltskin (Once Upon a Time) and H.G./Myka (Warehouse 13) too, and then I start to get carried away, because I like a lot of pairings.

Also from [livejournal.com profile] verdande_mi H.G. Wells

How I feel about this character: I've loved her character ever since we first met her.  She made for such a fresh and fascinating twist, and Jaime Murray is so gorgeous I don't even know what to do sometimes.
My het ship: I wouldn't call it a ship, but I have always wished Christina's father wasn't such a non-entity in the series.  I wish we knew more about him.
My fem/slash ship: H.G./Myka
Any OTP? I really love her with Myka.  Theirs is a forever love, I tell you.
My non-romantic ship for this character: I find her prickly relations with the rest of the team very interesting, especially Artie and Pete.  I'd have loved to see more of that.  In general, I always want more H.G. than we get.
Any unpopular opinions? Not that I know of.  I'm not very active in this fandom fannishly, though.
My favorite plot-line for this character: I love the episodes where she had flashbacks to her time as a warehouse agent.  Her past is just so fascinating.  It doesn't hurt that I love the Victorian era, either.
Something I wish would happen/had happened to this character: Myka.  I want her to be happy, and I don't hate the man she was with when last we saw her, I just really want her to get with Myka for real.
A crossover ship or interaction I would love to see for this character: Warehouse 13 and Sanctuary are really natural fits for a crossover, and I've seen quite a few where she knows Helen Magnus.  It's an awesome idea.
A head canon fact: I can't really think of one, beyond the fact that her being in love with Myka explains so many of the things she does.  But that's totally not just in my head.

Favorite ship

Although if you divided all my favorite pairings into types they would be pretty overwhelmingly slash, I actually like het, femslash, and various OT3's sometimes too.  My favorite slash pairing at the moment is overwhelmingly Jim/Artie from The Wild Wild West, and since I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that in about half these posts, I'm just going to talk about my favorite het and femslash pairings, and my favorite OT3 instead.

Cut, for ramblings )

I'm just doing my five main fannish obsessions of the moment, but I'll probably do other series as I go along, if only to get my tags and ships together.

The meme is:

1. The first character I fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character I love less than I used to
4. The character I just want to slap
5. A paring that I love
6. A pairing that I despise

Here we go...

I'd noticed this before, but I was reading Classification Error (which is lovely, BTW) and it really struck me.  I mean, what happens in the story isn't exactly a normal pregnancy, but like I say I'd seen it before, and in het stories (I think the first time I saw it was in a Hermione/Snape fic rec, where her pregnancy was referred to as F-preg).  It seems to me that one could just tag it 'pregnancy.'  That is, in fact, how pregnancy normally goes.  Calling it F-preg makes it sound like it's "that thing that's basically M-preg, but with a girl."  We might even be getting toward a place where we're not expected know if a man or a woman is going to be pregnant in a story unless they tell us who at the outset.  Which- by the way- is fantastic.

Anyway, takeaway message: Classification Error= lovely and leveling the pregnancy playing field= fantastic!
